Just a quick question, I know that Warrick County is using an LTR system in the 453 MHz range, is this system monitorable via programming these frequencies in a standard scanner.

I have heard this system for the last several weeks and have programmed their frequencies into my Pro-96 and can hear them with their comms. My impression of LTR (please correct me if wrong) is that LTR was a type of frequency hopping system, only lingering on the frequency a short time.

I am not totally familiar with LTR and don't have a scanner capable of it, and if someone can give a good URL for a good, simple explanation, I would appreciated it greatly.

I can now finally track the system. I have been told that you can follow it without a LTR scanner I tried with my 95 but could not pick up a signal of course with all the interfernce in my house my reception sucks in house anyways. You prolly heard it i have before. Just tested it with the 97 in FM mode and can pick it up.
