Was using FreeScan to work w/Uniden BCT15X; then installed SDR and software(s) to play around with that and now can not connect to scanner?

I installed a RTL SDR V4 and had to install the driver(s) with it-have been playing around with it with some success but am old school and still like actual hardware. I went to re-connect my Uniden BCT15X via the USB cable and it will no longer connect. Does this likely have something to do with SDR install/drivers?
-Windows 10 still
-SDR is unplugged when trying to access scanner
-Any thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks!

Likely the driver for the USB connection is conflicting with what the SDR is using. As mentioned above a different USB port for the SDR will resolve the issue

Enforcer52 & ka2jjz-thank you for the input. I uninstalled and re-installed drivers and software multiple times with no avail; then accidentally pulled the power cable from my PC while switching USB slots and when it finally turned back on, all works again. Thank you for the suggestions.
