Wascana Centre Authority - Regina

Greetings everyone.

The Wascana Centre Authority, looking after Wascana Park and the buildings and facilities there, used to operate on the City of Regina Motorola trunked radio system. As of the end of December, their talkgroups and radios have gone inactive. It is quite obvious that they have moved their communications to another system.

Does anyone know where the Wascana Centre Authority moved to? I cannot find them in the Industry Canada TAFL database, so it's not likely they installed their own system. They are probably leasing service from somebody.

Any tips or information would be appreciated.

I know it's winter, but the next time someone is in the park, perhaps someone could take a look and see what kind of radios they are now using.

Maybe then went to Iden or something similar

Perhaps they are now digital along with the Regina Police Service.

Ha! You know come to think of it, I never new they were missing til I read this. Shows how much attention I put towards WCA. I was really freaked out with the number of radio inhibits they did Friday morning, but WCA disappearing is odd. My guess is that they went to 10-4.

I'll keep my eyes peeled next time I see one of their trucks, or I'm in the park.

No, they wouldn't be digital on the trunked system. That would show up on the TRUNK88 logs.

Basically, the Wascana radios on the City trunked system are not in use, so they've moved somewhere.

I don't pay much attention to them either. Since I never listen to them, it's actually fortunate it only took a month to notice they were gone.
