Monday, I had reason to go to Belleville, which put me in range of hearing Washington County traffic. I noticed that the old Brenham PD Disp channel (155.835) was being used to dispatch EMS. Since I was not in Belleville for a long time, I didn't get to study the change, but it would appear that the simulcast (from TxWARN) of Brenham PD is no longer happening on the old dispatch channel. Perhaps someone in the area could verify and submit any changes that seem appropriate.

Both mobile and portable traffic from Brenham Fire Primary (2516) are multicast on 154.145/97.4, but other than that I wasn't aware of any other VHF multicasts still active. BTW, that channel dispatches every FD in the county - Brenham city incidents are put on Brenham tac channels while incidents from other rural VFDs are put on Washington County VFD tacs.

Yeah, actually what you are saying sort of lines up with what I observed. I could hear Brenham PD as well as Wash. Co. SO on the P25 TRS, but they were not being picked up on the conventional (analog) side.

This stuff I was hearing, was definitely EMS and probably Fire multi-cast (as there were fire units dispatched that I didn't hear respond). The EMS folks used this channel for additional information from Dispatch but not for hospital comm. The point I was making is that this is the old Brenham PD conventional channel, including the tone, so either they have assigned it to EMS work in Washington Co. (or Brenham alone) or maybe they turned it over to someone else in the area for their use. It would take some monitoring in the area to find out exactly what is what.

They were using the old S.O. channel from in the days before BPD and WCSO went combined on 155.835. The frequency 155.625 became EMS dispatch, and served as a secondary for SO units and daily use for prisoner transportation. 155.835 by far has/had better coverage countywide, which could be a reason for the switch.
