Thanks for the post and link. That sounds like what it was like on Loudoun County VA many moons ago when I worked there. The Sheriff's Office and Fire Rescue Communications moved to the Fire Rescue Training Center. Indeed, there was bullet proof glass installed to the outside world. The combination was MUCH more efficeint than two offices separated. The computer aided dispatch system was much welcomed. There was no more of a need to write cards for each incident then write it on a log book when time permitted. Some of the "old timers" didn't like at first but after a while wondered what we would have done without if the change wasn't made.
