I'm currently listening to a brush fire in the Banks Fire district...they're east of Timber, but west of Buxton and Highway 26. They've supposedly switched to F1 and / or Simplex1 for fireground operations. Now, I've tried plugging in ODF frequencies, state fireground frequencies, and anything else that I could think of, but I'm in the dark as to what these are.

Does anybody have an idea?

Firecom is talking to command on 154.400, but of course, I can't hear anything from Banks units. I'm wondering if F1 is 154.400?

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I just did some searching and found a previous thread that says F1 is indeed 154.400. I'm guessing I can't hear the other units, due to my lack of proximity to the scene. So now, all I'd like to know is what Simplex 1 is.

...and...of course, like a fool, I forgot about the 800MHz talk-around frequencies... *facepalm*

Thanks, Baker845! I'll remember that for the future. I wish the DB had been just a tad bit clearer regarding that...

Bringing up another old thread once again...

Those simplex frequencies are only licensed in Clackamas County. I did some digging, and found SEVERAL "mobile only" (countywide) 800MHz frequencies that are licensed in Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, and Marion counties, as well as the City of Salem and for the Oregon Dept. of Corrections.

The following are shared within Washington County and Clackamas County ONLY:

(rebanded freq. first)
852.5375 (867.5375)
852.5625 (867.5625)
852.5875 (867.5875)
852.6125 (867.6125)
852.6375 (867.6375)

These are the multi-county frequencies:
851.325 (866.325)
851.3875 (866.3875)
851.75 (866.75)
851.775 (866.775) (excludes Multnomah County / Portland)
851.8 (866.8) (excludes Multnomah County / Portland)

Now the "duh" answer in all of this might be that they're used for Interop, but...I don't know for sure. I'm going to plug them in and give a listen, but I doubt I'll hear anything anytime soon...

Any info that can be offered would be great!

851.325 (866.325)
851.3875 (866.3875)
851.75 (866.75)
851.775 (866.775) (excludes Multnomah County / Portland)
851.8 (866.8) (excludes Multnomah County / Portland)

Those are the State freqs. They ARE used by Portland.
851.3250/866.3250 = OROPS1
851.8000/866.8000 = OROPS2
851.7500/866.7500 = OROPS3
851.7750/866.7750 = OROPS4
851.3875/866.3875 = OROPS5

Here's what I have for WCCCA (fairly old):
868.4375 TALK 1
866.0375 TALK 2
866.9500 TALK 3
866.1750 TALK 4
868.3875 MAYDAY
867.9875 SIMPLEX 1
867.7000 SIMPLEX 2
Note:
TALK 1-4 = SIMPLEX 1-4 in the Portland system.
MAYDAY is the same in both systems.
WCCCA SIMPLEX 1 & 2 ???

Thanks, Dick. I thought I had seen those before, but I wasn't sure. I appreciate the clarification.
