I'm starting a thread for new or unidentified talkgroups on the Washington County P25 system. We can use this thread to gather information until talkgroups can be successfully confirmed.

Heard a house fire call last night, Medic 754 dispatched to the scene. Shortly thereafter, TG 13454 comes active with, "County, Medic 754 D I P S", or maybe "County, Medic 754 at I P S". Not sure what D I P S stands for...

TG 13490 was active last night with this: "Priority 3 Med Patch, Meritus Medical Center". Maybe the Meritus ER?

How about APS "At patient side"? Tracking time from 911 call to patient contact is more relevant than vehicle arrival on scene.

Makes a lot of sense, but I reviewed the audio again and it definitely sounds like I, not A. Not sure what it refers to...

If you start getting a lot of unknown tgs, I'd encourage the use of the wiki to use as a scratchpad, so anyone can come and add whatever they find. This page is a very simple example of just such a listing.

After all if this thread gets too long, unknowns reported at the beginning can easily get lost in the shuffle

Been figuring out quite a bit lately... Recently posted this to the Wiki:

Encrypted WCSO Talkgroups
13401 - ?
13406 - Transports? (one dispatch radio and 6 mobiles; mileage report)
13407 - Courthouse? (only 5 radios on TG; all ops between 9a-4p)
13408 - Hancock Police? (only used once by two Hancock PD units)
13409 - Judicial Division Ch 1? (dispatcher available 24/7)
13410 - Judicial Division Ch 2? (all ops between 8a-5p)
13411 - Judicial Division Ch 3? (rarely used)
13412 - Judicial Division Ch 4? (affiliated by judicial unit)

13423 - LE Ops channel? SWAT? (used by WCSO & HPD for an operation)
13425 - ?
13431 - Criminal Investigative Unit? (only used by a few CIU units)

These talkgroups are seeing radios being affiliated to them:
13401 - WCSO?
13405 - Fire Police? (FP 2?)
13412 - WCSO?
13425 - WCSO?
13453
13454
13462 - Fire?
13489 - Fire?
13496 - Fire?
13497 - Fire?
13498 - Fire?
13505 - Airport?
13506
13517
13518
13519
13537
13539
13540
13544
13545
13546
13548

I also heard an MSP trooper say he was out of his car following someone, however he used the same RID that usually shows up for what I believe is his car radio. Does anyone know if they are using older VHF or UHF handhelds that are linked by vehicle repeater to the P25 radios in their cruisers? (This would be similar to the older setup that would I believe linked their VHF handhelds to the low-band radios.)

As in every other county where MSP has a presence on the local TRS, as far as I know, MSP has only portable radios to use on the trunked system. They keep their lowband mobiles with a standard statewide channel plan, since troopers criss-cross all over the state and need communication with any barrack. In Washington County, they rarely use the VHF PAC-RT's when out of the car, and instead use the UHF portable for the TRS.

I'm kinda curious here....if they are encrypted, how did you know what they were saying?
