Just recently I have been receiving transmissions from Washington County Sheriff's Dispatch frequency 155.745 PL 110.9 on 155.595 PL 110.9! I live in Essex County and don't normally listen to Washington County, but the output is so strong that it is comming through on 155.595 PL 110.9 (NYSP Troop B Car to Station).

Has Washington County changed their radio system around and added new transmission sites? Possibly on Mt. Defiance in Ticonderoga?

I live in Essex County and don't normally listen to Washington County, but the output is so strong that it is comming through on 155.595 PL 110.9 (NYSP Troop B Car to Station).

Yes, the new Law Enforcement Dispatch Frequency for Washington County is 155.895 DPL 155. The "old" repeater on 155.745 TPL 110.9 is still active until all units are programmed. The new system is a voted system with towers on Burch Hill (Hartford/Hebron town line), Willard Mtn. (Easton), Ft Edward (Municipal Center) and Mt. Defiance. Mt. Defiance is not active yet, but all antennas will be directed to the south to serve Putnam, Dresden and Huletts, and not bother Tico and Essex County.

If the Mt. Defiance site is not active, I wonder why I am picking them up on 155.595 PL 110.9?
