While I have zero life I was listening to the Budget meeting and during the Police portion, the police chief told the council they will be
switching to the Bergen County 25 system. no further information.

The RR database indicates that the County's new 700 MHz system isn't built out yet beyond a single site in Mahwah, so I guess Washington Township will be moving to the current 470 MHz multi-site, simulcast system?

Frankly, I don't understand why they can't get their existing VHF repeater system to perform correctly. They're operating at least one (1) satellite receiver and the municipality doesn't cover that wide of an area (as does Mahwah). So what exactly is their problem?
