FYI, Long Valley is not part of the name of the Town. Long Valley is a section of Washington Twp. I don't know why it's in parentheses.

Washington Twp. (Morris Co.) would be more appropriate since there are several Washington's in NJ.

Any Scanner Programming Services?

Can anyone tell me if there is an individual or business who programs trunk systems into scanners in the Morris/Sussex/Warren/Union County areas? I want to purchase a trunking scanner and do not have a great knowledge (or patience & time) to program it. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like Washington Twp. Police (38xx cars) are using MUN PD 1 and Randolph (32xx cars) are over on MUN PD 6 right now.

Correct....
Washington Twp PD (38 cars) on MUN PD 1 with 18, 19, 46, and 47 cars.

Randolph Twp PD (32 cars) moved to the newly created MUN PD 6 with the 25(Mtn Lakes) and 42(Boonton Twp) cars.

38 Fire units are on MUN FIRE 1

38 EMS units are on MUN EMS 1

It doesn't make any sense to have Randolph, Mt. Lakes and Boonton Twp. on a TG if they are trying geographically group them, as was explained.

Am I missing something or is this temporary?

The County will group some PD's that aren't close together temporany till other PD's closer are on the system.Example, Morris Plains was grouped with Mt. Arlington,Netcong, Wharton at one time.

Exactly...

PD 1 was already congested and adding Washington Twp would have been insane. On the other hand it made the most sense geographically to be there. Moving Randolph to PD 6 with Boonton Twp and Mtn Lakes is simply a "temporary home". When new towns come online, everything get looked at again.

They are still using the old VHF Fire channel for paging. I would imagine sooner or later they would be migrated over to the county paging channel.

Actually they are paged out on the County UHF channel and then they decided to rebroadcast the paging back out on their VHF channel. This is done for Fairmount since they do double duty with Hunterdon County, which is on high band. Guess they don't want to carry two pagers......

RocketNJ:

Does the county have Tewksbury Twp. in their CAD since Washington Twp. PD provides police coverage for them or did they have to stop providing coverage?

Thanks,
Bob
