I'm aware that the entirety of Washtenaw County's FD/PD/EMS operates on the MPSCS P25 TRS, as well as some of the hospitals. They use all XTS5000's for portables except for when the new radios are deployed that the county bought, I believe they're APX series.

I've seen on Motorola's website that the XTS5000 is P25 UHF, VHF, 700/800 Mhz capable. Are these radios used by the county configured for VHF/UHF P25? Or strictly the 700/800 Mhz P25 band from the factory?

Some of the frequencies listed on the database show some FDs, HVA or U of M having VHF or UHF frequencies for some of the HEARN or dispatch channels, those aren't used, right?

Motorola XTS5000’s come in a few different bandsplits, but are single band radios only (i.e. Washtenaw County is using 700/800 models only); however, the APX servers radios can be purchased as either single or multiband configurations. With that said, all Public-Safety traffic in on the Michigan MPSCS System and is using 700/800 MHz band only. As for hospitals, universities, etc; they could be using a combination of radios. The EMS to Hospital channels are available in VHF, UHF, and via the MPSCS System, but hospital and university campus security might be also using UHF frequencies and I’d suspect many are also using DMR mode on those frequencies as well.
