Wautaga/Ashe

Been a while since I monitored this area, looks like still mostly VHF for Police, Fire, EMS. Using a Pro 106 I’m hardly picking up any traffic in Boone or West Jefferson. I see there are VIPER channels for Wautaga, did everything move over or is this area still mostly VHF?

I am trying to monitor just local P, F, EMS.

As of a few weeks ago, I was hearing plenty on VHF/UHF from up there. Sometimes it's slow there though. I seem to recall that Ashe patches the Sheriff to VIPER, but that was a while back. Boone Fire is on P25 conventional, but everything else is FM as far as I can tell. Comes in real nice in the Triad due to the elevation of the tower sites.
