Hey folks!

If you’re running dump1090 (or similar) on Linux and just want a clean, easy way to see local ADS-B traffic, check out WaveADSB. It’s a native Linux app – no Mono, no browser, no heavy dependencies – just connect it to your SBS-1 feed and you’re good to go.

While I like VRS (Virtual Radar Server) I don't like having to install mono-complete to run it on linux, nor do I honestly care for the clunking configuration.
So I built WaveADSB a simple flutter application (cross platform) to make things as simple as possible on linux, or otherwise.

How it's Different:
  • Truly native: Runs on Linux without extra frameworks.
  • Easy setup: Just point it at your decoder’s TCP feed (usually port 30003).
  • Offline maps: Download your area for no-internet setups.
  • Privacy first: No cloud, just your local feed.

Quick start:
  1. Launch WaveADSB.
  2. Add your feed (IP + port).
  3. Watch aircraft appear on the map – tracks, flight details, the works!

Extras:
  • Set a home location with range rings.
  • Show flight paths.
  • Click planes for ICAO, altitude, speed, etc.
