Depends on what system you're refering to.
At my station, I've heard the Saginaw County Trunked system numerous times.
Every day I can hear the GCRTA In Cleveland on 900 MHz. ( better be able to because of my full-time job).
On VHF, UHF, and low-band, don't evem ask. The statistics are too numerous to recall.

In the winter months, its not uncommon to receive the California Highway Patrol, here in Michigan on VHF-Low band. However, the furthest that I have received must have been somewhere in China on 37.36 MHz, back 30 years ago. Several users were on that channel talking in Cantonese, which is a southern dialect in China. I had no idea what they were saying, but they were making it very hard for our local Sheriff's Dept. to talk with any of their units.

CHP, Ohio State Highway Patrol in winter months a couple years ago.

Furtherst in recent time would be Geryling, Mi.

But its not uncommon for me to listen to Genessee and the Monroe Simulcast.
