96-6 attempted a traffic stop on a Silver SUV at about 10pm on 2-23-11, while NB on US45 just north of Geff. Deputy was going 95mph to close the gap, but never got close enough to get the 28. Near the Raccoon Club Suspect vehicle tossed something out the window. Pursuit continued NB to the east Cisne curve, onto county road 1600E. From there, they tried to lose the deputy on the back roads. They came out at Rinard crossroads, back onto US45 NB into Clay County. Suspect lost them on back roads by turning off their lights somewhere between Clay/Wayne County line and Flora. 3 Wayne County deputies, 6,10, and 11, and at least 1 Clay deputy spent about an hour searching before calling terminated, and going 10-8.
One deputy back tracked the pursuit route to see if anything else was thrown out, and another one went back to the Raccoon Club, and found a bag with trash that had meth residue in it.
From start to finish was about 1 hour long, most traffic was on WC Sheriff repeater, once in Clay county, some traffic was on there.
