Interesting situation- this system seems to be on parttime--by that I mean, sometimes I get the control channel of 868.300 very strong, hear traffic just fine.
At other times, I don't hear either of the control channels at all, trying three different 800 mhz antennas?

Went mobile in differnt areas along the Detroit river, same situation.
Using the 396 and 996 Uniden.
Anyone else experiencing the same thing??I thought if signals were being blocked at home by intermod etc., that going mobile would answer the question, but as I say same results. Puzzled!
Comments please

Currently, the data channel for the Wayne County Simulcast System is on 867.7875 MHz. Have you tried that frequency yet? The Grosse Pointe Farms site should be online within the next 90 days. You should be able to hear that one just fine from your location.

You could also do what I do. I have programed in one bank the Northville, Southfield, and Flatrock towers. Between the 3 of them, I can get all the cities that are part of the simulcast without having to worry about the multipath issues, since I guess I am close enough to be affected by it.

The control channels have been changing A LOT over the last week or so for both Northville and the Wayne Simulcast. Not sure why, only seems to happen during normal work week hours, so maybe techs working on the sites? Be sure to have the alternates programmed.

Northville: 867.9250, 868.9625

Wayne Simulcast: 868.30, 867.7875

Just this morning both towers have changed CC's at least twice.
