Why can't I pick up anything for Wayne County. The only thing I am hearing is a humming noise. I can pick up all other counties, just not Wayne County. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Wayne County has a linear simulcast system so it is usually hit or miss depending where you are monitoring at.

Law enforcement on the trunk system is encrypted. Fire/EMS appears to be in the clear.

I know I can't pick up Law Enforcement but I should be able to hear EMS or fire calls. I am picking up calls on my tabletop.

Do you have the analog frequencies for fire and Ems? You can hear county fire on 152.240 and Ems on 155.280. City fire is on the trs only they do not have an analog paging channel.

Yes I have those frequencies but on android you don't have to put in frequencies. I can pick all that on my scanner in the house.

My original thought was you were asking in reference to a scanner - now it seems your question(s) are about an audio feed you receive (or don't) on your phone.... Those feeds are at the mercy of the feed provider and you'd have to contact that provider to ask questions.
