Wayne County?

I saw (4) frequencies for Wayne County
859.8375, 855.2875, 855.5875, and 860.8365

What are these frequencies and can I pick them up on my scanner which is a Uniden BCT8?

Also under Wayne County it shows Analog, Motorola Type II Smartnet. What does that mean? Any help with this would be much appreciated!

You need to provide a little more information to help us help you. I presume that you mean the Skitronics system http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=3024.

If so, you will be able monitor it with your BCT8. Skitronics is a communications company that leases out airtime on a trunked system if I recall correctly. If my recollections are right, than who you hear is anyones guess, From the butcher to the baker even the guys delivering the stuff made by the pizza pie maker...

Hello again. This Mark in Pikeville. I spoke with you on the phone not to long ago about Rocky Mount. As Robbyboy said Skitronics is alot of different companies. The NC Viper system is very much with in your reach. If I remember correct your in Lenoir County. Look up the trunking system under NC Viper and program your BCT-8 for Green County. That will get you the State Police. If you still have my number I will be availible Sun after 12.. Mark n3ncn@nc.rr.com
Also, are you aware that Kinston - Lenoir Has it's own trunking system that you can no doubt pick up with out any problems?

I appreciate your response to my questions, I am just trying to learn as much as I can about my scanner.

You said for me to program my scanner for Greene County, I didnt know Greene County had trunking? Also, you said that will get me State Police, what exactly is State Police. Are you talking about just in Greene County or the counties near by?

I remember you are fairly new to this. You can shoot me your number again on a e-mail
and we can go through it on the phone. I just programed Kinston - Lenoir trunking system on my hand held and am picking it up perfect here in Pikeville.
I will be more than happy to get you set up over the phone with both systems. As I remember I will have to talk you through programming the trunk system
