Wayne Twp - Armed Robbery

[SCPD]

Wayne Police are looking for 2 black males involved in a shootout with a State Trooper along Rt.23 in the Packanack Lake area. Shots we're fired, and the Trooper was grazed in the head.

NJSP is in the area, K-9 and detectives are enroute to the scene. Search is ongoing near the Exxon gas station.

Police are reporting that the getaway vehicle is a tan or beige 4-door toyota sedan.


If you didn't already deduce, it was the Exxon that was robbed. A carton of cigarettes and an unknown amount of cash was taken.
