Over the last several weeks, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of folks wanting help with their WS1040s or WS1065s (or their Radio Shack cousins). We have a getting started article for those radios here- it already has links to the Easier to Read guide, the guides for both ARC500 and Win500, Trunking and several other topics. There is a chart at the top that shows the various model numbers between GRE, RS (which actually offered these radios twice under different model numbers) and Whistler to ensure you are looking at the right article. Please feel free to point newcomers to;
