We have BCD396T and BR330T coming out...now need Mobile 246!

I hope Uniden is planning a mobile to the BC246T! I would definately get one for my truck! I have a BC246T and a BCD396T on preorder but would definately go for a mobile version of the 246T! Do you think it is possible they are going to release one, or will they just go for the mobile BCD396T version first?

Personal opinion: They are going to either release both at the same time or develop which ever one is the better seller (based on sales volume for the first X months of availability of the BC246T and BCD396T).

I have a BCD396T on preorder. That is $524.95 plus second day air UPS shipping charges. This will be my first handheld scanner, but I like a base mobile better because the display is much larger, and it is easy to work with.

If Uniden comes out with a base unit too soon, it will be a hard sell to my wife to get one. I know that I will want to get one. I can spend over $500.00, but I just can't do it too soon again.

I totally agree with you on the mobile 246!!

I'm so spoiled with the alpha tags, and dynamic memory. It drives me nuts using the BCT8.

I would be first in line to buy one if they come out with the 246 mobile/base.

One thing I would like to see,,,, have all the same features of the 246, but also have the pre-programmed stuff for the 50 states like the BCT8 has. That is really handy for people that do alot of traveling.
