Hi All,
I’m struggling to decode weather balloon data.
I’m using SDR++ on an MacBook and attempting to decode data from RS41 radiosondes here in Australia.
I have a captured radiosonde running on my desk, got clear signal but no data.
Installed a VAC, and can see the audio level fluctuations, yet can’t get sondehub to output data.
I have rf noise between pulses, but silence while the rs41 transmits its pulse. Is this how it should be?
Thanks,
Tui

I use a much more sensitive receiver and plug that audio into my PC's line-in and use RS41 Tracker that plots how the weather balloon travels across a map.

What are you using to decode the data?
Hi,
Thanks for getting back. I’m new to this game, so please put up with me!
I’m using Sondedump to decode the data.
I’d like to display it in SDR++ like in your video if possible.

I've used SDRangel to decode messages from weather ballons. Since it's an allinone solution, maybe you can try it to figure out, if something in your receiving or decoding chain isn't working. My experience was, that you need quite a decent signal for decoding the message, but that of course depends on the decoder and so on.
