I seem to be having a problem with my weather channels. With the 800 mhz antena on I can only pick up the sait cloud area weather here in the western twin cities area. I would rather listen to 162.550. How can I get the scanner to stay on this channel instead and still get good reception? If I go back to my "regular" antena I get the channel just fine.

The antenna is the problem. It's tuned for 800mhz, and the weather channels are 162 mhz. Try making the scanner hold on the twin cities channel and adjust the squelch to see if you can get anything that way.
