HELLO ALL

this morning its was foggy b/c of all the rain from last night and i noticed i was picking up a DED and Charlotte dispatch and trains coming from Charlotte even heard a lot of communications from cayce yard sending trains south to Charleston is it the fog or water on my antenna ?? nvr had this happen but this antenna is new and nvr have had a foggy day till this morning its a quarter mile visibility

Probably temperature inversion/ducting; sun heats upper atmosphere first. Also two air masses with different temperatures -- warm and cold -- can create ducting along the front. HTH.

I have noticed that signals for some reason do travel further during fog. I have noticed my receptions greatly increases and my transmit range is extended also.
