Does anyone know what happened to Weathersfield pd I'm running a grecom 800 and heard them alot and not hearing them at all I thought they went digital but I'm not seeing anything... Weathersfield pd in ohio

There are only a few departments left in Trumbull County not on MARCS. The 911 director wants departments on MARCS ENC. I live in Trumbull County. Sorry they left 155.895.

Actually I didn't think of that if anything I thought would just change the frequency or go digital and I figured Weathersfield isn't very big maybe 3 cops and plus I didn't think they could afford it

I've noticed when this happens they go digital usually but I did do a search on my scanner and I picked up a few places not sure if it's them

Yes it is and it's understandable why they do that but when they go digital most block out everything so it's not even fun Listning anymore
You're right. Its not much fun to listen in The Valley anymore. Unless you like hearing fire / ems and non-public safety stuff.

Well folks it is confirmed that Weathersfield did go digital on the Marc's system but I didn't figure out the talkgroup ID# and this did come from a Trumbull County PD

I did a search on mine and it kept stopping on 54218 but was encrypted so I couldn't tell there was a couple of others popping up but mainly the one I mentioned so I can't confirm neither
Trumbull County talk groups are 46XXX. This will help you with talk groups.

Per Marcs steering committee draft notes in the link below.
"The entire county is transitioning to MARCS. A tower owned by City of Warren is getting upgraded to help with coverage in the County. Warren and Trumbull County Sheriff are moving soon. Defiance County - MARCS has finished the upgrade of the Defiance Tower at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Post. This will allow for greater coverage in this County. Honda of America - MARCS and Honda are working to correct a coverage issue in the Honda plants in Marysville and West Liberty. This Tower is being provided by Honda and MARCS is providing advisory support. Kent State University - MARCS and KSU are working to repurpose an existing rack of equipment to the roof of the KSU Library. With this addition, the City of Kent Fire and Police and the KSU Police are moving to MARCS. "
