I was in discovery mode and found several new TGIDs: site Laredo Public Safety TGID (3062) unknown who it belongs to.TGID (1505) unknown who it belongs to I did figure one out: it is UISD police dispatch TGID (2002) that is not posted in RR already submitted that one to RR. The other one is in the Webb County simulcast TGID (46261) unknown who it belongs to. My question is how do I figure out who it belongs to or is there someone here that can help me out?

Hopefully someone from the area can help you, but in the meantime let me share some tips.

Listen for addresses and the type of dispatches or conversations. If they are talking about fires, medical or law enforcement information that would be a good key, addresses will help you identify cities or sectors.

Another suggestion, depending on your scanner is keep track of Radio IDs, if radio 123456 is heard on an unidentified or encrypted TG and you see the same or similar RID on a known TG, then that is a good indicator.

In short, it takes lots of listening, logging and cross reference.

Thanks for the tips. Is the RID similar to UID? I have a sds100

Yes, Whistler calls it RID (radio ID), Uniden it is UID (unit ID).

Consider using a logging software like PROSCAN to make it easier to sort and review lists of the UID from comms when you aren't home, or too busy with life.

Webb County talkgroups under GATRRS has TG 6261 as Special Events 1. It may be that one but on the new system? You would just have to continue listening to confirm it.

Thank you for the advice, but as of now, it comes out as encrypted. It’s going to be hard to determine whose department it belongs to.

There isn't much to listen to in Webb County anymore. Ever since SO went encrypted its been pretty boring.
I have picked up very sporadic traffic in the clear on TGIDs 46261 and 46210. 46206 is fully encrypted and 46296, which is Webb Fire, is in the clear.

I can hear it in the clear. Very sporadic traffic though. I just can't figure out who it belongs to.

I agree. I wonder if it’s due to the reason of being a border town.

Same here. I have not discovered 46206. I’ll give it a try as well to figure out who it belongs to. Also, tgid 46232 is another one I’m trying to figure out. Keep me updated if you find out. If I find anything, I’ll post it here.
