I have been receiving a weird signal on a frequency. It sounds like a data transmission.
It transmits almost 24/7. The frequency is 152.6000 mhz around the central area. Does anyone know what it is? Can anyone else hear it, I'm using a radio shack pro-2055 to listen.

It is pager traffic. In the United States, it is generally illegal to decode the paging traffic.

Could you provide a tape of it? Is it a beeping, rasping, two-tone, multitone, is it on constantly, does the signal appear to change sites with rising & falling signal strengths?

Does it sound like formatted data or is it just static? You could be getting the noise from being in the wrong mode i.e. NFM as opposed to WFM or AM, I noticed that AM stations have a lot of bleed over. It could also be a harmonic from a different frequency.
