Weld County Patrol Cars

I was in weld county the other afternoon and noticed a weld county car with 4 antennas mounted on it. Hey Phil do you know what weld counties setup is in there cars?

There were two antennas on the top. One was the dtrs 800mhz antenna mounted in the center of the roof right behind the lightbar. The second one on top appeared to be a 400mhz antenna.

On the trunk, there were two more antennas both mounted in the center plane of the trunk. The closest to the glass appeared to be a vhf antenna 1/4 wave spike and the 2nd one was the 400mhz antennas that use to be on the roof of their cars before they switched to 800...

So what are all these antenna for? Obviously one of the uhf antennas was for fallback in case of the dtrs goes down or has spotty reception. And one was for the dtrs. So what are the other two for? Anyhow know. Anyone seen the inside of a weld county car recently?

The usual 4 antenna setup I always see around the Platteville / Firestone / Frederick / Mead area is:

1:] DTRS
1:] MDT
1:] Old UHF-Lo SO System
1:] Old VHF-Hi FD System (& *Possibly* Boulder Co though I have heard that there are only 2 cars setup that way.)

There are a few units I see from time to time that also have a 4 antenna gitup for LOJACK along with the first 4. While I have only run across a few of them one of the officers I talked to said that they were going to be equipping quite a few more cars with them sometime in the near future because of how this end of the county is growing.
