Welland Transit DMR?!

Does anyone know what's going on with the transit system in Welland? I have it programmed into my radio and I can hit it from a pretty good distance away but there's never been talk on it. It seems very empty and un-used. I also called for a radio check once and there was no response...

I'm thinking maybe the Welland Transit system is slowly upgrading or they've had it for a while and just don't use radio communication...

Why would u do something like this? It's illegal.


Back in the early 80's some of my friends and I were into trains. And radios. Cabooses had radios.

Long story short, we used the radios, to chat. CN or CP
Wevent all that happy about it. And 4 days later the railroad cops came to my friends house and later mine. And we were in a fair bit of trouble. Me more than him, as I was warned by another friend (who did the same thing and who the police knew to speak to first) to get rid of the radio.

Tossing it into the community pool on the first snow day wasn't Smart. Destruction of property and easy to see footprints.

Lol.

I was 15 at the time. I learned a lesson from that.
