Hey guys,
I am looking at getting one of these antenna's, either the ALA1530S+ or the ALA1530L ($80 difference )
Not sure which one, and also if a TV rotator would be heavy enough to use with either

Any opinions appreciated

ok have put the order in for the ALA1530

just a waiting game now :)

Grats! And yes, a standard rotator should be fine. Use some variation of a PVC mount for the loop mast.

Don't know if you saw my original thread several months ago: http://forums.radioreference.com/hf-mw-lw-general-discussion/222770-we-have-nulls.html

Also, in that first thread with the Pro-1B, I highly recommend sealing the loop joints at the bottom. Wellbrook doesn't seal these like the Pro-1B. We get a lot of rain here and I had a minor issue with water infiltrating the loop. After letting it dry out, I wrapped my joints in electrical tape (several layers) to seal it.

Check out the 2nd picture and if you look closely, you'll see the white adhesive shrink wrap around the joints.

Is there a rotor that someone can recommend
to use with the wellbrook ?

I would like it to have a small remote to
Change directions.

Will be buying a welbrook to go with
My Perseus in the near future.
