Just prior to 10 pm the company along with Martins Corner and Sadsburyville QRS and Medic 93 were dispatched to N. Bonsal and Rt. 340 for an accident with reported entrapment. Rescue 35 responded right after dispatch with a crew in house and arrived to a two vehicle accident with one up an embankment. Crews from the rescue then went to work stabilizing the vehicle and removing the drivers side door to extricate the injured patient. The ambulance from 34 arrived and assisted with patient care along with Medic 93.
The engine arrived next and handled the hazard control of both vehicles and assisted the rescue crew. Extrication was completed in under 10 minutes with the patient on the way to the trauma center. Tac 34 arrived along with Squad 31 and provided additional assistance with patient care and at the scene. A second and third ambulance was dispatched due to numerous injuries which brought Ambulance 33-2 and Ambulance 34-1 to the scene to transport the remaining injured people to the hospital. A fire police task force was struck to assist with traffic control around the scene. Wagontown wishes a speedy recovery to all those involved.
