By Martin's Corner Fire Company September 27, 2010 On Monday September 27th, 2010 at 1336hrs the Martins Corner Fire Company for the Tac and Ambulance were dispatched with Station 35 (Wagontown) for an accident with unknown injuries in the 1400 block of Manor Road. Ambulance 34-1 and Tac 34 made the response moments after dispatch and the Chester County Fire Board (CCFB) informed us that it was a Vehicle vs. a School bus and they were upgrading the call to an accident with entrapment. With the upgrade, QRS 49 and Medic 93 were dispatched. CCFB informed all units that a passerby popped open both doors in the SUV and the occupant was no longer entrapped. The 34 units arrived 1st to find a SUV vs. BUS with negative entrapment and 34 units went right to work on patient care and securing the SUV. Chief 35 then arrived on scene and set up the Manor Rd Command. 35 units arrived on scene and secured the bus. Manor Road command requested a second BLS unit which brought Ambulance 41-3 to the scene. FD/EMS crews removed the patient from the vehicle and Ambulance 34-1 and Medic 93 transported one to the local trauma center while Ambulance 41-3 transported one to the local hospital. 34/35 units remained on scene until both vehicles were removed and units cleaned up debris and fluids. Manor Road command released all units and command was terminated.

While Tac 34 was returning to quarters, the company was alerted for a 2nd Ambulance call to assist the East Brandywine Fire Company with an auto accident on Route 322. Tac 34 returned to quarters and made the response in Ambulance 34-2.
