So I am sitting in the lobby of the side entrance of West Florida Hospital on Davis Hwy. I noticed it seems there were alot of employees with radios. They appear to be motorolas. Then I saw a young lady wearing a motorola shirt and she was programming radios in the lobby and I didn't hear everything they were saying but I did catch something about programming a new second channel in the radios. Unfortunately I did not have my scanner with me. Looking through the database I cannot seem to find anything on West Florida Hospital. Anyone have these Freqs. Next time I will bring my scanner.

These are the MED, HEAR and Paging frequencies. That is not what I am looking for. These are Walkie Talkies used in and around the hospital. Probably Security, Maintenance and Daily Op stuff. I did however find something interesting in the FCC Database. I don't know if it is the Hospital or not.

Close Call hit West Florida Hospital?

So I said I would be bringing my scanner the next time I am at West Florida. I was sitting in the lobby and got a close call hit of 158.205. I cannot find anything in the fcc database for this area. It was definitely medically related. There was talk of dialysis and a chemotheray machine missing a plug? I could hear operators answering calls in the background like a call center. Anyone know what I am hearing? or i you are in the area give a listen. I could actually hear it for quite some distance as I drove away on Davis hwy. It had a strong signal.

For those Federal monitors out there. I also heard some radio checks In the clear on 167.2375. very very strong and loud and clear signal. I have never heard anything on this freq before. I did not catch the tone or whether it was analog or digital. It happened really quick.

I go to West Florida about once a month. I will continue to listen in. I am determined to figure out what they are using. I still think there are other freqs I am missing. I wonder why some freqs don't show up in the fcc database?

Maybe it's the only frequencies your hearing and not any others or the FCC don't have the other frequencies listed or know about them...Could be alot of things.
