Was trying to program this into a BC296d. Had it working until a couple of days ago. Now I don't get any audio. Does anyone know if they switched to Phase 2 or something?

OK. Thanks. Then I have a vexing problem. May just resolve it by picking up a 335p2. Miss hearing CSP and the whole story of CLMRN is interesting.

There's an average amount of Police Activity.

West Hartford isn't a hot spot for crime like Hartford or New Haven

Last month I did a ride along with the Hartford PD on the evening shift. Very professional organization and lots of interesting stuff happened but there is also a ton of paperwork for anything that you respond to. I hate paperwork, glad I'm not a cop. During some down time I did happen to scan the West Hartford PD and it worked fine from Hartford. The officer I was riding with thought it was amusing to hear the neighboring town.

I see their talkgroup IDs showing up, so I know they haven't gone dark. My guess is they use their computer terminals for a lot of things that used to be done on radio (NCIC checks and registration checks, for example)

I miss hearing Hartford iTalk and PD.

He thought it was amusing but was there any indication he thought you shouldn't be able to hear it?

The ride along officer knew I was a radio guy so he had no problem with me having other radios in the car. I didn't run them during normal patrols to avoid confusing things. A year or two back I did another ride along with Hartford and with a higher up that could cover all areas. On that ride I did have my radio running on all Hardford channels to find the best stuff to respond to. We had many red lights and siren runs that day.

Good to hear a positive attitude towards scanners.

I met Martin Miller and Kent McCord in the early 70s when they were filming Adam 12 in my town.
That's cool! I watched it when it was originally on.

Here's the episode they're on today.

IMDB points out the technical goofs in every episode.

They air two episodes per day.

I made a list of all the stuff that's outdated. Fun to watch!
