LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- A fire that started in one home quickly spread to two nearby homes in the Green Mountain area early Monday.
“When firefighters arrived on scene, we had flames more than 40 feet in air and the wind was pushing that fire into the neighboring homes,” said Micki Trost, the public information officer for West Metro Fire and Rescue.
