West Metro Structure Fire | 5280FIRE
03/29 ~ At 23:21 West Metro Firefighters were dispatched to a Confirmed Structure Fire in the area of 1830 Newland Ct with multiple 911 calls. First due Engine 1 found heavy flames and smoke showing from all sides of a 1-story structure. Engine 1 pulled a 1¾ line and went into defensive attack. Engine 1 requested Medic 1 to pull a 2½ back up line. Tower 3 staged on 20th Ave, Engine 3 stretched a 2½ line to the back side of the structure and Rescue 8 was assigned RIT on the 20th Ave side. District 2 advised that the structure was an abandoned house. Medic 12 set up on the bravo side with a 2½ line and the fire was placed under control within 20 minutes. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
