I'm programming a BC780XLT scanner with the Westchester County T-Band Trunked System. The RR listing shows two sets of Base/Spacing/Offset data. Should I program both (the scanner will accept three) or assume that the top listings are for the North System and the bottom listings are for the South System?

Program them both. The South zone has a 470 MHz frequency assigned to it.

Yesterday I purchased a brand new Uniden Home patrol. The Westchester County Trunking is not working in the scanner.

Do I have to change a setting for it to work ?

The system looks correct in Sentinel. Make sure you have the service types enabled.

Menu > Select Service Type

Depending on what you want to listen to, the system uses the following service types, which should be enabled:

Emergency Ops
EMS-Talk
Fire Dispatch
Fire-Talk
Hospital
Multi-Dispatch
Multi-Tac
Multi-Talk
Public Works
Transportation

Then press Accept.

Excellent, glad you're up and running. I believe the HP-1 has only a few of those service tags enabled by default.

FYI, after looking at the system the other day, I realized most of the function tags (service tags on the HP-1) were incorrect. I changed them last night, and also reorganized the system slightly. If you're scanning the system in the HP-1 from the main database, you might notice a slight change when you update the HP-1's database on Monday.

The system now uses the following function tags/service types:

Emergency Ops
EMS-Tac
Fire Dispatch
Fire-Tac
Hospital
Public Works
Transportation

No longer used:
EMS-Talk
Fire-Talk
Multi-Dispatch
Multi-Tac
Multi-Talk
