New Hampshire DOT announced a few months ago they would cease dispatching local public safety departments out of their Lancaster District 1 office. It appears Grafton County has offered to take over the dispatching according to a recent report in the Caledonia Record newspaper.

It sounds like the status is now changing to Grafton County. The Lancaster PD units started identifying themselves as Lancaster 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 instead of 1644 A - F and Whitefield PD units as Whitefield 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 instead of 1682 A - F. Groveton has yet to change to the new numbering system. they're still identifying as 581 -585 instead 1658 A - E. Radio testing on 155.595 for the PD units was frequent on Wednesday and Thursday. I haven't heard any testing or number changes on the fire frequency of 154.445 or Lancaster and Groveton EMS on 155.235.

Coos county sheriff's units are now being dispatched by NHSP Troop F. All NORPAC fire/ems units are being dispatched by Grafton. Groveton, Lancaster & Jefferson EMS units are suppose to change over to Grafton in September.

Groveton EMS radio test with NORPAC (Grafton County) on Sunday afternoon at 325 PM. I didn't look at the frequency. Last evening and this morning Groveton EMS was dispatched on NORPAC on 154.445, not 155.235. I'm waiting for a Lancaster and Jefferson EMS dispatch to confirm their status.

EMS is now using the 155.235 repeater for ground communication during remote rescues. Groveton EMS and Fire were coordinating a remote snowmobile crash rescue in Stratford yesterday afternoon.
