I'm here a lot
If you add a discriminator tap and run the frequencies through DSD+ you should be able to hear DMR with your BCT8.

Western uses a MotoTRBO Capacity Plus trunking system along with a few conventional TRBO channels. The BCT8 cannot track or decode this, but as Mike said you would be able to use DSD+ if you installed a discriminator tap in the radio. I had a BCT8 years ago and from what I recall it was relatively easy to tap if you are somewhat comfortable with a soldering iron. Another option would be to use an SDR dongle. The trunking side of that system isn't terribly busy. The bulk of the traffic is on the physical plant conventional frequency (463.8625) along with CCPS. Campus Police use TS1, physical plant is on TS2.

What is TS1 for campus police? Also, will a 396XT receive this?
Thanks Forts.
