Wetaskiwin EMS and otehr fun stuff

Hey im a wetaskiwin resident and love siren chasing.i recently was gifted a scanner.i have many great frequinces tons of them.But only one that i cant find!And thats Peacehills EMS can somebody help me?
id love to have it!also if you have any other good frequinces from teh area feel free to pass them on

I think with the take over by AHS this might be hard to get. Most likely they are on the MIKE system until the new network is set up. Even the old systems they are using are now protected licenses so do not show up on TAFL. Keep your 158.760 in.On Friday I did hear Wetaskiwin County Fire called to assist EMS to lift a patient

From a very old printed list (2003) try 142.395. It's a long shot but worth trying.

Do you monitor 155.595 out of Pigeon Lake?

The first one should be EMS and the other WETASKIWIN/Leduc County Patrol. You may need to send me a PM for your email as I'll have to scan the Alberta Frequency list from 2003.

South part on Calgary

EMS from Rocky Mountain House and South to Lethbridge can be heard on the Calgary Digital Radio. As they are using MIKE in these areas, can't listen locally. I have heard EMS as far east as Drumheller. Thus I suspect any EMS associated with AHS are doing the same in other areas.

Only if your from Edmonton it's self. I had friend that was looking down there and as soon as the sail folk found out he was from leduc the price was the same as any were

Sort of yes and sort of no. Wetaskiwin EMS (formerly Peacehills) was taken over by Associated EMS. Associated is the largest contract provider (by geographical area) for AHS. Associated out of Wetaskiwin is dispatched out of Edmonton and they are still using a traditional radio system. Rocky Mountain House, Sylvan Lake and Rimbey are now under the Associated banner as well but they are dispatched out of Calgary. Most of the fire for Clearwater County can still be monitored over the air as well as Caroline Ambulance. I will post more info as I get a hold of it

As robertmac said, they are also on the digital system.

They use the motorola r750 plus radios where they can use it as a cell phone, a two way radio and to receive dispatch information via text messages. Nordegg EMS, which is AHS, also uses this system and they are dispatched out of Calgary

Good info to know. Thanks newguy. For Rimbey try 158.565 licensed to Associated. For Wetaskiwin try 158.370, 158.205 and 162.825 which they do use in other areas.

Confirmed that Associated/AHS Rimbey is on 157.440.

Not sure about Peace Hills/Wetaskiwin, they might also be on a RCC/Rental Repeater in the area.

Thanks for clarifying that. I had a 50/50 chance of picking the correct repeater output and chose the wrong one. Good to hear 157.440 is confirmed.158.565 would then be the repeater input
