I'm running v3.01.00 firmware in my 396T (I know there's one newer version).

I used to occasionally monitor a few local fast food places that used WFM in the 900 MHz region, using the Search feature, and this was back when I was running older firmware versions. The audio wasn't correct unless it was set to WFM.

Since I've installed the v3.xx.xx firmware, I haven't had the occasion to revisit that kind of search need, but I did just recently try to set up one of my Custom Searches for that purpose, and found that, even though I could select WFM as the modulation setting for that search, when I actually did the search, "FM" was displayed.

Anyone know what's up here? I wasn't actually monitoring anything at the time, but I'm concerned that I've lost some functionality.

In almost every firmware or updates that uniden release there's always going to be a small problem. I hope if uniden release an other update they take their time to test it out. That's if they release one. Some members have wrote that this update might have a been the last update for this radio(bcd396T). Now that the new BCD396XT is out they (uniden) might be working on an update to fix some minor problems, or things that users want. Check out the BCD396XT fix list thread. I'm not against the BCD396XT its a great radio to own.
