Well, after some serious searching this morning, I am no closer than I was. Any of the Icom guys here happen to know the approximate width of the WFM mode on the IC-R3? I'm just trying to make some comparisons and figure something out. :)

Wow, that's a bit wider than I imagined it would be haha. Did that info come from a pdf file? I can only get online at the moment with one of my two phones and neither can open a pdf file. I had a feeling the answer was lurking in one. Thank you for the help, it was greatly appreciated! I had asked because I wanted to see if the WFM mode was wide enough to receive Wx sats, but it looks like it's TOO wide. Thanks again :)

Wx sats on 137Mhz require a 50khz bw to receive (ideally) which is why they require special receivers.

Yea, I did some reading on it. Seems I can mod an old Bearcat to be *close* to what I'd like to try. It'll be fun to try anyways :)
