What am I doing wrong?

BC 796D, Tulsa system. Patch comes on from East-side to South-side, I'm locked on East-side, originator of patch,. Once patch is done East-side is dead and all activity is on South-side. My Status bit was on, I turned it off still nothing on East-side ID.

It sounds like the south side talk group was the "supergroup" for the patch and therefore your scanner did not receive the audio for the patch. With Motorola radios, the radio will decode the supergroup AND the group members (they are all transmitted together) for the patch. This is how the north side talk group radios heard the patch. Scanners just look at the supergroup and not the group members, too - and this is why you did not hear the patch audio.

...this works the same for multi-select calls from the consoles, too.
