What am I receiving on 952.2625 mhz?

What I am monitoring on this freq? There is a continuous tone, then every few seconds there are two to four sounds similar to what you would hear when the Emergency Broadcasting Network transmits an alert or test on AM/FM radio stations, but very short...about 1/4 second each.

I just did. According to the database, there is only one entity with that freq in Indiana which is Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company located in Zionsville, IN (Zionsville is approximately 10 miles from my home).

The database indicates the service is Microwave Industrial/Business Pool and the station class is Operational Fixed. So what am I hearing?

It might be telemetry data about the status of the pipeline.

It could be paging data (POCSAG or FLEX).
Decoding paging data is esoteric (not to mention illegal). :shock:

After listening to the sample on the web site, I'm definately hearing SCADA telemetry from Panhandle Eastern's location. Thanks for sharing this web site...very interesting!
