I am currently in the process of switching over to the Uniden SDS 200 from the PRO-197. I would love to have both radio up and running in my control center. Can anyone let me know of some FREQ still being used on the p25 Phase 1 system / conventional freq that would still work on the PRO 197. Currently using the Win500 software making it easy to add and drop. I would like for that radio to be dedicated to air traffic / services/ school if possible and my SDS200 run the Police and Fire

Appreciate all help

I have turned my Pro197 into a air traffic machine and letting the SDS 200 do the police and fire
Throw in some Macdill and USCG frequencies. The 197 is sensitive, and does well on milair. Recommend to keep an ear on 345.0 am/121.5 am/243.0 am/as well as some of the company frequencies for lifeflight helo's.

Have you been able to get USCG? ive got the 345.000 dialed into my sds200 and I am getting RSSI of -106. Not sure if I am picking them up solid or not. Going to try and dial that into the Pro 197 as well. Do you have the Lifeflight Freq?

I'll throw all of those Freq in. Thanks

Also are you running AttenMODE on the Pro 197? The letter G - GA on the screen?

I live in Hernando. I have 345.0 in my bc898t with a window mounted magnetic antenna. It hit's on occasion. A ton of comm's on 156.800 and 157.100. Check the Fla. database for medevac frequencies.

Interesting to note, when I was in New Jersey,I was right on The Atlantic Ocean, and got only a handfull of hit's on 345.0 also.

Are you running a separate antenna for the Pro 197 or a multi coupler to have both radios on one antenna? I ask this sense I have my discone in the attic with my SDS200 attached to it next to my radioshack

I don't want to go too far astray on this topic. In all my time monitoring for milair, I have not really come up with much. Back in Jersey, I wasn't far from Lakehurst/Mcguire. I used to hit quite frequently on 319.400,Brickyard. I would love to have either an outside antenna,or attic mounted discone, but cannot.

Have you programmed any aerial refueling frequencies? Informal & official air-to-air, civilian & military? Civil Air Patrol?
I have added amateur air / Tpa and local small airports Davis island / Plant City. Am I missing anything?
