What are these masts?

Does anyone know what these are? ive lived in the area all my life and they have been here, no-one knows what they do though, or atleast anyone local.

The police station is local, so ive always assumed its related to them but they work on the cell network nowadays dont they?

They used to carry Beeb radio Manchester but are now Capital Gold

...and four more at the other end of Rayner Lane too...which carry Magic radio

Both sets are deliberately directional to prevent interference to other 'local' transmissions

Are these towers unique? Ive not seen anything like them before.

No, they aren't unique. There examples dotted about the UK (though I can't think of any in Wales offhand) as well as other similar ones operating at different frequencies

They are Towers not masts, and they will have been used for a AM dipole
