Sometimes the policemen on the scanner use codes like 10-4 (I know what that means) but where can I find a correct list of the codes their using? Do all cities use the same?
What are they talking about?

Unfortunately, there isn't a "standard" list of 10-codes. They change from state to state, city to city, even agency to agency. Also, there are some places that use "9" or "11" codes instead of 10 codes.
I'd suggest that you go to the state forum where you're located, and place a post there with which agencies you're listening to, someone over there might be able to help.

Nope.....10 codes & signals can very from city to city and from county to county....give us a better idea of where you are at and someone from that area will help you out....or post a thread in your local state forum here on Radioreference.com!
