There are 3 VHF frequencies they use. These are dispatched to the first available tow.
140.955 - Niagara
143.535 - Brantford
149.665 - King City

So far, no one has posted the specific highway areas these frequencies cover.

Thank you the closest to me would be King City so I will leave the scanner on that. I usually listen to Fire since the dispatch center for my area is in Barrie. I am in Angus.

I just picked up OPP on 149.665 looking for Tow Truck on Highway 404 very clear using the Anytone D578UV mobile radio. My antenna is 40ft up.

I don't know if there is one. I've heard GTA tow calls on the Brantford frequency and Niagara tow calls on the King City frequency.

The Niagara and King frequencies seem to be simulcast.

They should have set them as P25, the signal is fairly weak in the Toronto area.

I am hearing them dispatch all over the place from King City as well. I wonder if there is any clear comms from the center in Orillia. Perhaps I will talk to one of the actual tow truck drivers to see how they are getting calls and what they listen to on their radios in my area or north of Barrie.

Would these have been added to the Radio Reference database? I'm too new at this to know how to find them, I do have the "Bell FleetNet Ontario Provincial Government Zone 1" added in my Favorite List using Sentinel on the SDS100 and can see them being scanned, but I haven't heard much of anything OPP for a very long time even before the reported encryption and I'm not far from the QEW/403.
I am getting Burlington Transit and Halton EMS calls, so the SDS100 is working.
Also just downloaded the latest RR database, and updated the Sentinel as well as SDS100 firmware.
Thanks in advance for any tips or pointers.

They are already in the DB in the OPP section under the Provincial listings.

You'll hear all the Halton Region fire departments and transit but your not hearing Halton EMS. Bell FleetNet system is dead. I'm sure the DB people have labeled it as deprecated .

All the OPP, MTOE, MOH, MNR are on the LMRN, and are encrypted. You can hear the MTO snowplows and workers on LMRN though.

Listen to some MOH on 150.1, and air ambulance Ornge. Occasionally you will hear some EMS on here if the local LMRN tower is under repair.

148.765 I've heard the odd "going the wrong way" calls for OPP and some OPP plane stuff

But FleetNet, she's dead boss. RIP

Monitor 150.1. You'll hear.
