What are some of your favorite reading materials. I'm talking about your monthly (quarterly, etc.) subscriptions. It could be hobby related or fun, interesting "goodies/ wish list" catalogs also. It doesn't have to be printed material. It could also be in electronic format. I'm mainly interested in your RF related stuff BUT also your other hobbies and interests as well. I don't currently subscribe to any RF magazines but do receive some related to RC Aviation. I am always interested in good reading material to keep up on the latest trends in the hobby world.

My current hard copy magazine is Model Aviation and of coarse the DX Engineering catalog. :)

Show me what pages you're turning!

Public Safety Communications (a trade magazine for dispatchers, published by APCO); Scouting Magazine ('cuz I'm a volunteer); QST (ARRL's magazine); Air Force Magazine (Air Force Association); America's 1st Freedom (NRA); AKC Gazette ('cuz I'm a dog lover).

JABA and the National Enquirer. Although many folks despise this little rag, it prints bona fide articles that can be found in professional literature. In fact, I found the following forensic testing instrument in the Enquirer and used it to assess those who feign mental illness: Structured Interview of Reported Symptoms, 2nd Ed | SIRS-2 (parinc.com).

Here is another wonderful source of reading: https://www.erickson-foundation.org/newsletter-archive

Anything by David or Amy Sedaris or Hunter Thompson.

For religious parody, I love reading: The Wittenburg Door – The Wittenburg Door and several books by Betty Bowers. I have a wide interest.

I read Spectrum Monitor -- The Spectrum Monitor - Powered by Network Solutions. -- a pdf magazine, so no pages to turn. Good stuff!

I read here at RR and at The SWLing Post (I also post there).

I did a post on radio-related books there -- Jock’s radio-related book recommendations -- be sure to scroll down to the readers suggestions, I found a number of goodies there.

If you have a kindle, many of The Radio Boys books by Allen Chapman are available for free. Dating from the 1920s, these books are a bit the Hardy Boys, but focused on radio. In the first book, he describes in detail how to make your own crystal radio. The books are pitched for junior high/high school kids, but I find them fun. They also serve as a reminder that the whole business of radio, as a thing that ordinary folks participate in, is only about a century old.
