What DATA rate and SAMPLE rate are you guys running?

Just courious....

What you guys are running your mp3 encoders at? What do you consider the lowest bandwidth before it starts sounding raspy?

I have switched from 24kbps at 16khz to 16Kbps at 16khz, seems to still sound ok.

I have my stream setup for MP3: 16 kb/s, 16.0 kHz, Mono. The sound is crystal clear and 16kb isn't destroying my bandwidth.

16/16/Mono. Sounds just fine IMO.

I'm running 16/16/Mono for all of my feeds except for one, which runs 24/24/mono

Check out my stereo feed at: http://stream.electropost.net:8000/icp963.ogg It is configured at 12KHz. I think it sounds fine and with two radios going, that is 6KHz per channel.
